My name is Chris Farrar. I am a database administrator certified by IBM. I worked for IBM as a database administrator for 8 years. I have worked with all IBM-certified database administrators on the client side, including most of the databases used to support the IBM Global Knowledge Management (GKM) platform. I also have worked with the IBM System Center Configuration Manager (SCM) and the IBM Software Development and Operations Manager (SDOM).

So, what is your role? Do you want to be a database administrator? I am sure that many of you would love to be…

We used to work with the DBAs for our database creation. When I was working in the DBAs I had to do one of the many things that were out of the box. I was a good developer, but not very well-known. I was a great communicator, but I was not as good at database administration as the database administrators and they would sometimes make me feel like a bad person. I would find myself on the wrong track.

Nowadays, I do database administration on my own and I love it. I really enjoy it. People often ask for my advice, and I love doing that.

This is the part I love about working in IT. It’s a great way to work your way into the industry. I think it’s really cool to be a certified database administrator. I mean, you can do just about anything you want, but the certification certifies you to do it. I am very interested in the certification.

So why certification? It’s because there are a lot of people making a living running an IT department. It gives you an edge over people who have never worked in IT or are just not certified. It gives you the knowledge you need to make your job easier, and it’s a nice way to make connections.

I think you could do it with a lot of the new stuff. You have a lot of new cool apps, you can’t really do that on your own. So I would like to be able to go from a business to a business, and I am excited for what I can do.

That, and I’m going to be able to do it in an administrative role.
