The “Stilwell Academy” at victoria stilwell academy does everything right. It is a school for students with Asperger’s Syndrome and other high functioning autism that serves the needs of children and adults with disabilities. They offer a program of classes and individualized treatment for parents and children with disabilities. I’ve been part of their “Parent Support Group” for over two years and have helped with both parent and student concerns.
A lot of people think that a school is as important as a university. I don’t think so (I’ve been a student of the school for about five years now). But the reality is that most schools have a few kids who are at a pretty high risk of not being able to care for themselves.
Ive also been a student of the school for over a year now. I just started my classes in January. I am very much liking them. Its not the same as the classes I took in college, which were a lot more about academics. This school is more geared toward the care and education of the students. I really like the focus on personal growth, making sure kids aren’t self-destructing, and being able to work with kids whose parents can’t care for them.
The school is geared toward the kids that are not your typical high school students. It seems the school is focusing on the idea that kids need to learn how to deal with stress, loss, and chaos, and that they should be able to handle themselves in a way that will help them learn how to deal with each of these situations. One of the biggest things I like about the school is that they have a lot of focus on education and personal development.
My main complaint with the school is that it seems to be geared towards kids that are not your typical high school students. This is a good point. I don’t think there’s a single parent that’s had the opportunity to attend victoria stilwell Academy. So, they’re a bit different from the typical high school students. However, if you’re looking for a school that will focus on the more stress-inducing aspects of life, then I would recommend going to an academy like victoria stilwell.
Okay, I know that the question is really “how do you deal with it?” But I believe that the answer is pretty simple. You learn to control your emotions. Not only is the Academy set apart from the typical high school because they emphasize being able to control your emotions and your emotions control you, but they also focus on the way you deal with other people as well. So they take the “not-so-fun” part of adolescence and use it to good effect.
I definitely don’t see this as a problem. They’re actually pretty helpful because they teach you to deal with other people in ways that make you want to make sure you know how to deal with them. Which is good because we all have a tendency to make assumptions about people based on what we see around us or hear from other people. Instead of telling you to be extra careful, the Academy teaches you to just be yourself and do your best.
Like all good classes, the Academy will help you with the basics. The Academy gives you a list of basic rules and general guidelines you’ll need to follow. We found that all the students we’ve talked to have had no trouble at all following the Academy’s rules, but they did have a few challenges that they’re working on. I wouldn’t say they’re a problem because the Academy is like any other class.
When you’re just showing off, you’re not doing any of it wrong. You’re showing off as much as you can. The Academy just happens to have a huge variety of classes to choose from, so you can be the most difficult kid in your class, and the Academy won’t have any fun with you.
