todd lemmle’s blog is a great place to start for anyone who wants to learn more about mindfulness, the Buddhist practice of “paying attention in a particular way”. He is a professional actor and the guest blogger for the Huffington Post. You can check out some of his other posts here.

And when you get to a place like this and you’re not a self-proclaimed meditator, you can learn a lot about mindfulness and it’s not only helping you learn how to be mindful, meditation has a lot of fun.

He has actually been able to help improve his meditation practices and he writes here about the practice of mindfulness. We get a lot of questions about meditation and how we learn to meditate so I wanted to cover that in a little more detail.

I think the most important thing to remember when meditating is that the goal is not to have a meditative state. The goal is to learn to be present in the moment with your thoughts, feelings, and body. The more you focus on your thoughts, feelings, and body the more your attention is directed away from the external objects of your attention and onto the inner objects within your own mind.

I get asked quite a bit about meditating, what it is, and how we learn to meditate. I think the key thing is just to practice, and I’m not sure there is a right way to practice. While I personally find meditation to be a very relaxing and peaceful activity, I also think that it is a very powerful and transformative thing. It’s not just sitting for one hour and watching some video. It’s not just watching a lecture or reading a book.

This is why I like to share some of my own experiences with my husband while we are meditating. He was a total non-attentive guy. We would come home (after two weeks of silence) and he would just sit in front of the TV. He has an interesting story to tell about how he used to sit there for hours just watching TV. To me, this was not meditation. It was not a time to meditate. It was a very passive time.

Todd had always wanted to be a meditator, but his parents didn’t understand it. I think it is because Todd’s father had a nervous breakdown when Todd was a baby. Todd’s mom was always telling him that he was going to hurt himself. Apparently Todd’s father was a really violent drunk, so it was not safe for Todd to be around him. Todd’s mother then decided that Todd had to be punished for his father’s violent tendencies.

It’s a good thing that Todd is never to be on the beach. He is the most comfortable guy on the beach and the nicest guy around.

Its funny because I can’t think of a time when Todd did anything to get into trouble. But that is because he was always the nicest kid in the neighborhood. He lived with his mom and his dad, and was just an easy kid to be around. He was never afraid to be on the beach because he was always the first one out and the last one to leave.

That does sound like he’ll get a lot of time on the beach, but it will take time for him to make some sort of change. I think he knows what he’s doing because of his family history and his mother’s history.
