My favorite part about this book is the practice questions. I actually have a personal favorite one in the book that is the one about our mental process of asking the question in the first place. This book is written by a neuroscientist who researches the ways that our brain works. I found that the answers are actually very easy to understand. I am just one of the people who have gotten the answers wrong.
The fact is that our brains contain millions of neurons which are connected to each other and make up the very fabric of what we can perceive. When you are faced with a problem, you have to make a decision. The first thing you have to decide is if you want to try to solve the problem or not. A second decision is whether to give up or try to figure out what is wrong with it.
The first decision is the most important because you don’t have the luxury of thinking, “I don’t know what is wrong with it.” If you don’t know what the problem is, you can’t figure it out. If you give up, you are dead. If you try to figure out what is wrong, you are dead.
I have a problem with this second part because I feel like I’m not being completely honest here. This is one of the reasons I am here. I am here to help you out with your decision. I know you are going to make the right one. So that means that the way you approach the problem, the way you think about it, your attitude or whatever the key is, is the most important factor in your success or failure.
It’s not that easy. You have to be very organized, very disciplined, and very persistent. And that means you have to put in just the right amount of work and effort. The more you put in, the more likely it is that you will succeed. I always recommend getting a copy of the Life of Brian when you start to think about making a decision in life.
